Taking Action Against Brookfield

Our tenant group is actively challenging Brookfield’s poor property management practices to ensure fair treatment and reasonable costs for all residents. We are advocating for improvements in management, transparency in fees and charges, and equitable service practices. Through organized efforts, including meetings, campaigns, and direct negotiations with Brookfield, we aim to hold the management accountable and drive positive change.

“Metergy sends me double bills every month because they did not bill properly. When I told them that this was abusive behavior and that there must be tenant rights / dc laws against it, they told me they didn’t care. My lease requires the utilities be metered but they sent me multiple bills that were not metered and therefore I do not know where they came up with the figure they’re charging."
